MCEC is located on the banks of the iconic Yarra River in South Wharf. Plenary and conference rooms is easily found within the Convention Centre, accessed via Convention Centre Place or a short walk down the Exhibition Centre Concourse from the Clarendon Street entrance.

\\ Summits & Roundtables

Seating capacity is limited in the summits and roundtable sessions. Preferences selected before the event are located on the back of your name badge and are for planning purposes. Please arrive early in order to secure a seat. If a session has reached capacity, you may be asked to attend an alternative session. Due to safety reason, the venue does not allow delegates to sit on the floor.

\\ Connect Expo and Digital Health Show

The Data Centre Show is co-located with the Connect Expo and the Digital Health Show. Whilst everyone can explore all areas of the exhibition floor, delegates may only attend the Summit which they purchased during registration.

 

\\ Networking Functions

A Networking Drinks Reception will be held on 29 March from 5:30-6:30pm in the Exhibition Hall. All delegates, speakers and exhibitors are welcome to attend

 

\\ Expo Opening Hours

\\ Food and Beverage

For all delegates and speakers catering is included in your package. Catering is available on the expo floor for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

For expo visitors, there is a visitors cafe on the expo floor for you to purchase food and beverage.

For all sponsors and exhibitors, please check your exhibition manual for details on catering.

Delegates with dietary requirements who requested a special meal at the time of registration, should ask venue staff where these will be served during meal breaks.

 

\\ Name Badge

Name badges must be worn at all times. Your name badge will be emailed to you one week prior to the event. Please print this out in COLOUR and bring with you on the day. If you cannot print your badge at home, we will have printing stations available in the registration area.

 

\\ Mobile App

To keep up to date with the latest agendas, competitions and to interact with other attendees download the mobile app. Just search 'Connect Expo' in the App Store or Google Play store.

 

\\ Win Prizes

Sponsors and exhibitors will be conducting prize draws over the two day event. Check the competitions tab in the Mobile App to find out what’s on offer or walk around the exhibition hall for your chance to win.

 

\\ Speaker Papers

Speaker papers (presentation slides) will be available within one week after the event. Delegates will be emailed instructions on how to access the papers.

Note: Not all speakers give us permission to upload their papers.

Unfortunately we will not be able to distribute these under any circumstances.

 

\\ Wireless Internet

Free wireless internet is available for conference delegates and expo visitors. Here's how to connect:

  • Switch on your wireless drive - it should automatically detect the Wi-Fi networks
  • Go to settings --> Wi-Fi to see the available networks
  • Select Connect17

\\ Conference and Expo Evaluation

Help Association & Communications Events improve our future events. Please complete the evaluation survey that will be emailed to you post-event as we welcome all types of feedback and strive to improve our events each year.

 

\\ Photographer

A photographer will be onsite during the conference. Photographs will be used for promotional purposes on the Association & Communications Events websites, in email communications and on ACEvents social media sites. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let the photographer know.

 

\\ Cloakroom

The MCEC has a cloakroom located at their reception desk in the conference centre. The cloakroom is run by MCEC staff and is on a first come first serve basis.

 

\\ Notepads and Pens

Notepads and Pens will be available in your conference rooms. Should you require more paper please see a member of staff.
